The best meaning of Ramadan

Iftar in El Fasher

Ramadan has many meanings. First of all, the strictly religious one, defended by most of the Muslims to approach God. Even, some say that Ramadan creates a space within the divine messages come down. The most striking meaning explains that total fasting during daylight hours is recommended for health and a good tonic for the body.

But my favorite meaning is the one says it’s an experience of hunger and thirst that causes empathy with the poor and needy. Ramadan is, or should be, the opportunity to move away from conflict and approach the kindness and generosity and, if finally I practice it, it will be only for these last reasons.
