Nova Tracjusa project (in Juneda, Lleida) has given rise to conflicting and sometimes unsupported positions.

We are living in times when opinions are flying through the air. It takes little to utter a pithy phrase and, on the other hand, much more to read, document and listen in order to build a more solid and well-founded position. We need to slow down and, rather, it seems that we are in a hurry to express our opinion. Too much hurry. And hurry is not a good friend of solutions, especially in a context of projects that are also being cooked at high speed.
The dilemma is served. Biogas plants, renewable energy plans on agricultural land and projects such as the gasification of waste in the Tracjusa plant (in Juneda, Lleida) are issues that must be addressed with serenity and rigor.
Debates, demonstrations, conferences and statements become one-way. There is no dialogue between the two sides. And I am talking about fruitful dialogues. Real meeting points where we understand all the positions well. And what is published in many media is based on poorly prepared and often politicized voices.
There is a lot of visceral about Nova Tracjusa, without understanding well, or even not knowing with guarantees, what will be done in Juneda, if there are viable alternatives (for farmers and the territory) and, above all, if what is written on paper will be fulfilled in reality. We also do not know if controls will be strict or if waste of all kinds and from distant cities will finally be brought in. And, finally, it should be recognized that this project is the result of the model of society we have. Here we all have our responsibility, both as producers and consumers. No one has clean hands.
